European Space Policy and EU External Action: A Contested New Frontier

Outer space is becoming increasingly contested as countries integrate their assets into military operations and conflicts. Space-based surveillance, monitoring, and communication capabilities have therefore become essential for autonomous European Union external action. Civilian and military interests converge and necessitate a robust EU space policy that not only leverages Member States’ strategic assets but also upholds a rules-based approach to this shared environment.

This ENGAGE webinar will explore the EU’s evolving space policy and the challenges of establishing an autonomous space strategy that advances Europe’s global ambitions.
